小さい頃から、ずっと違和感がありました。ひとりずつ、こんなにも違うはずなのに、どうしてみんな同じ物差しで測られるんだろう。
22歳で、東京・恵比寿の自宅を見ず知らずの人に開けました。それが、そのまんま荘のはじまりです。Something never sat right with me, even as a child. Every person is so distinctly their own — so why is everyone measured on the same scale?
At twenty-two, I opened my home in Ebisu, Tokyo, to people I had never met. That was the beginning of Sonomanma-so.

- ROOTS
- 日韓ハーフ。幼少期からの「人はもっとそれぞれ特別なはずだ」という違和感が、すべての出発点。Japanese-Korean. It all starts with a feeling carried since childhood: that people are far more singular than the world treats them.
- 2018–2022
- そのまんま荘（東京・恵比寿）を運営。広告費ゼロ、口コミのみで、約1年10ヶ月のうちに1,000人以上を受け入れた。2018年に3,000万円を調達し、PoCとして事業化。Ran Sonomanma-so in Ebisu, Tokyo. Zero ad spend, word of mouth only — over a thousand people welcomed within about 22 months. Raised ¥30M in 2018 to run it as a proof of concept.

- 外国人材ベンチャーでHR業界を1年経験。採用と定着の現場で、履歴書では埋まらないギャップを一次体験した。A year inside the HR industry at a foreign-talent venture — seeing first-hand the gap a résumé can never close.
- AI
- シリコンバレーのAI企業（2023–24）、日本のAI企業（2024–）を経て、東京大学 松尾研究室にて約9ヶ月。AI関連で5つの賞を受賞（GMO賞を含む）。An AI company in Silicon Valley (2023–24), then one in Japan (2024–), followed by nine months at the Matsuo Lab, University of Tokyo. Five AI awards, including the GMO Prize.
- ARTS
- 能楽師のもとで修行。京都・二条城で舞い、神社で神楽を奉納した。Trained under a Noh master. Performed at Nijo Castle in Kyoto, and dedicated kagura at shrines.
- NOW
- 2026年3月に退職し、約8年続けてきたKIBOUにフルコミット。あわせて、100年続く日本の老舗から Forbes 100 企業まで、複数社のAI顧問を務める。Left his job in March 2026 to commit full-time to KIBOU, eight years in the making. He also serves as AI advisor to several companies — from century-old Japanese institutions to a Forbes 100 firm.

KIBOUをつくっているのは、2人です。どちらもシリコンバレー（ベイエリア）を拠点にしています。恵比寿の一軒で起きていたことを、日本とアメリカの両方から、世界に広げようとしています。Two people build KIBOU. Both of us are based in Silicon Valley. What happened at one house in Ebisu, we're now carrying out into the world — from Japan and the US at once.

2018年、恵比寿の自宅を見ず知らずの人に開けた張本人。そのまんま荘で1,000人以上を迎えました。KIBOUでは、ホストと企業とのつながり、そして事業そのものをつくっています。東京大学 松尾研究室のLLM講座等を経て、いまはベイエリアから。The one who opened his Ebisu home to strangers in 2018 and welcomed over a thousand people to Sonomanma-so. At KIBOU he builds the network of hosts and companies — and the business itself. After taking courses including the LLM course offered by the Matsuo Lab, University of Tokyo, he is now working from the Bay Area.
Chaos

統計学の博士。ベイエリアのAI企業でエンジニアとして働いたのち、共同創業者としてKIBOUへ。ホストとメンバーが登録する仕組みや、このサイトそのものをつくっています。日本を旅していたときにSNSで荒木と出会い、そのまま一緒にやることになりました。PhD in Statistics. An engineer at AI companies in the Bay Area before joining KIBOU as co-founder. He builds how hosts and members come on board — and this site itself. He met Takafumi over social media while traveling in Japan, and simply stayed.
このチームも、そのまんまの出会いから始まりました。This team, too, began with a chance meeting — just as we are.

2018年、恵比寿の一軒から始まりました。当時の記事や発信は、いまもインターネットに残っています。そのまんま置いておきます。It began in 2018, at one house in Ebisu. The articles and posts from those days are still out there. Here they are, exactly as they were.
KIBOUは、このそのまんま荘をアップデートしたものです。恵比寿の一軒でやっていたことを仕組みにして、どの家でもできるようにしました。名前は変わりましたが、やっていることは変わっていません。KIBOU is Sonomanma-so, updated. What happened at one house in Ebisu, turned into a system any home can run. The name changed; what we do hasn't.
